A warm welcome from Joan & Helen, and the History of Dannah Cottages

Joan and Helen Slack are joint owners of Dannah Cottages. Joan has many years of experience in the hospitality industry gained from running the renowned Dannah Farm. Helen is the wife of Joan’s eldest son James, and has taken to Dannah Cottages with enthusiasm and devotion.

‘Four walls and an idyllic Ashbourne location’ was the mantra given to our new self-catering venture.
What began as a lick of paint, a little damp-proofing and a tidy up turned into a major re-build. This lasted almost exactly two years from start to finish. But what a transformation it has been. The cottages are now something special. From the hot tubs to the four poster beds; the original artwork to chilled wine awaiting your arrival, they have the WOW factor in spades. Cosy romantic retreats for two. Everything you could want to make that special birthday, anniversary or honeymoon an occasion to remember.

The cottages have been sympathetically restored and are a perfect marriage of traditional and bang up to date. From solid oak beams to the Canadian Spa Hot tubs.
