The whole area around Kirk-Ireton and (or indeed all of the Derbyshire Dales) is crisscrossed with footpaths. Whether your fancy is a half-hour stroll before breakfast or a challenging seven-mile hike (including a pub lunch), you will find it here at Dannah Cottages.

We have a number of suggestions for walks and local maps of the area which guests are most welcome to borrow.

You could take the car, drive to one of the famous nearby beauty spots, and wander at Dovedale and Lathkill Dale, both within easy reach. Alternatively, leave the car parked at your cottage, and walk around the pretty lanes surrounding the village. At just 1.5 miles Carsington water is also within easy reach.
